Chariot Races

The Challenge

In a 2-3 day activity – First and third graders design part of the chariot separately, to then come together, combine, modify, and ultimately, race their chariot (powered by Spheros) successfully around a course.

The Results

First and third grade buddies practice collaborating, communicating, and enjoying the team work as they see their chariot get driven successfully (or not so successfully) around the course.  Creating a race against another team adds another fun-filled twist of competition.  All in all, students get to see many chariots in action and reflect on how they would improve their design and communication skills with their partner, to be more successful on the course.
